Blue Skies Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival is a charity race day organised by Blue Skies Hospitals Fund, the NHS charity for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, at Fairhaven Lake in Lytham St Annes. The 2027 edition takes place on Saturday 15 May 2027 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with crews arriving from 8:00 am and racing starting at roughly 9:30 am. Each boat holds up to 17 people, made up of 16 paddlers and a drummer, and participants must be aged 12 or over. Every team is guaranteed at least three races. Registration costs £425 per team (£25 per person) with a minimum sponsorship of £850 per boat, and teams can either pay in full or secure a boat with a £50 deposit.
