Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival

The Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival takes place August 14-16, 2026 at Louise McKinney Riverfront Park on the North Saskatchewan River. Friday evening hosts the team manager meeting, race package pickup, and team practices; racing over 500m runs Saturday and Sunday, with the opening ceremony at 8:00 am Saturday and semi-finals, a novice race, and finals on Sunday. The festival is organized by the volunteer-run Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival Association and includes a Pink Ribbon ceremony honouring breast cancer survivor paddlers. Team entry costs CAD 750 (early bird until July 3) or CAD 850 thereafter, with an entry deadline of August 4, 2026.
