The Newark Dragon Boat Festival takes place at Newark Riverside Park on the River Trent in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire. It is a joint fundraiser for Beaumond House Hospice Care and the Children's Bereavement Centre, delivered with NewWave Events. Each 30-foot boat is crewed by ten paddlers with a drummer seated at the front. Entry enquiries go to fundraising@beaumondhouse.co.uk or to the Children's Bereavement Centre at katie@childrensbereavementcentre.co.uk; no entry fee is published on the festival site.
