Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Festival 2027

Severn Hospice stages its Dragon Boat Festival over a weekend on the River Severn in Shrewsbury, with racing along the stretch by Beck's Field between Shrewsbury School and Pengwern Boat Club. Crews of between 11 and 20 people race head to head in 40ft Viking dragon boats, and no experience is required. Each team entry includes a crew tent by the river for the day and every crew member receives a bespoke medal. Awards are given for top fundraiser, best fancy dress and the overall title of Dragon Boat Festival Champions. Teams must raise a minimum of £1,250 in sponsorship per boat on top of the entry fee, and companies needing an invoice are asked to contact the hospice's fundraising team before booking online.
